  • Ok, so this is the latest. I found out earlier this past week that my brother Eric won't be going into the Army. That's a relief. He's got a lot of potential playing baseball, and he was going into the army for all the wrong reasons. So I feel a lot better about that.
I didn't do so hot at bowling on Monday. Last week i rolled a couple of good games, and a 263 on the 3rd game. It looked like this X X X X X X X 6/ X X 7/. It was awesome, but this monday I fell back to earth. I struggled with finding the right spot, speed, rotation, everything.
And then on Tuesday I played in our last softball game of the season. I play on a team with a bunch of people from work, and had tried getting on the team for a couple of years. This season was the first I was on the team. I was having a great game through the first half of the game, but then while running to field a routine ground ball to the outfield, I planted my foot in a sprinkler hole and really messed up my whole leg. I've gone through a bunch of tests, with my MRI coming on monday, and so far it looks like it'll just be a knee sprain. I honestly feel like I could probably go back to work after next week. My whole leg is still sore, and my hip and ankle tend to bother me still, but with a little more rest I think I could be back pretty soon. I guess I'll find out for sure after the MRI.

  • Being sick licks balls.

I'll say it again too. Man this sucks. I woke up on sunday feeling like i got run over by a truck, and had to call out of work. I can't even tell you when the last time I called out was. I just rested on sunday to try to get better. Then I woke up monday feeling like S**t. I rested best I could on Monday, and the Stace, Heath, and I went to bowl in the league we're in. I bowled both the worst and best game I've had in this league yet. I started it all with a game in the 120's. I was tired already by the end of the first game, and could barely throw any more. The second was in the 140's and the 3rd was 204 or something like that. if not for a lot of lucky pin action in that 3rd game, my average would've taken a serious dive.

I still felt like junk on Tuesday when I woke up too. I'm pretty sure this is some form of summer cold. Thankfully I feel better today. Not all the way better, just better than yesterday and that's better than nothing.

  • First Day Back Pt. 2

It felt really good to be home again, seeing everybody at work. But damn that was a long day. I worked 10 to 6 and it felt like i worked 14 hours yesterday. I was so tired, my knees and ankle hurt too. I was rummaging in one of the store's storage areas looking for a shelf and a shelf fell on to the back of my knee and bent my ankle pretty bad. The killer shelf was the wrong size for those of you wondering. Vance (the maintenance team leader) sat me down yesterday and told me that store leadership decided not to interview me for maintenance ATL because of my lack of knowledge about the store, which i'm totally fine with. I've only been doing (documented) maintenance since Sept. when I transferred from the front end here at the store. I fully didn't expect to be going out for this position until years down the road. I'm really glad they're finally hiring a third person for us, damn we were getting hammered. Anyways, it's time to go to work. I'll have to post a couple of updates to catch everyone up. Bringin Xanga back...

  • First Day Back.

Stace and I just got back from our trip to PA to watch my youngest bro Eric graduate from high school. We got to watch him pitch for his legion team Paul's Auto. Did pretty good, struck out 13, and went the distance in the win. We went to six flags, and Ocean city too. It was awesome. We stayed at my brother Brian's place. Brian's girlfriend Rachel is funny. She fights back, that's cool. Brian's band rocks. They're called evro. Look them up. evromusic.com or on myspace. Now it's back to the grind for a while. Boo.
